    Job Title: Chief Operating Engineer (CAD)



    Work Location:
    Windsor
    • Ontario-CANShift Mon-Fri, 7:00AM 3:30PM with 30 minute unpaid lunch.
    About the RoleThe position of Chief Operating Engineer revolves around three key aspects:
    • Prioritizing personnel and operational safety.
    • Effective team management.
    • Drive for operational excellence.

    As the Chief Operating Engineer, your role will involve overseeing production processes and equipment, troubleshooting production issues, and offering suggestions for process enhancements.

    Your responsibilities may include equipment sizing, identifying capacity requirements, establishing process control systems, enhancing process efficiencies, and more.

    You will lead the installation of new equipment, modification of existing equipment, and manage associated training and start-up tasks.

    Furthermore, you will lead a team to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the facility.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and enforce robust standard operating procedures for CHP.
    • Supervise maintenance staff and contractors, prioritize maintenance tasks.
    • Communicate effectively with management and peers, ensure policy compliance, promote a tidy workplace, conduct team training, design training schemes, and implement Management of Change.
    • Oversee power engineering staff, handle recruitment, training, and ensure sufficient operator coverage.
    • Interact with TSSA on regulatory matters and system compliance.
