We are seeking a proactive and detail-orientated
Project Manager to join our team.

As a member of our Project Management team, you will be responsible for collaboratively and proactively managing our projects on time and on-budget.


Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Ensure the successful planning, management, and completion of multiple projects on time, and on budget through strong collaboration and communication
  • Prepare and communicate all project plans using Microsoft Project
  • Establish, manage, and update accurate project scope and budget
  • Prepare, track, and maintain all project documents including all Requests for Information (RFI's), procurement and changelogs, and submittal schedules
  • Work proactively and collaboratively with the Site Superintendent to ensure the successful execution and completion of each project
  • Manage postconstruction concerns to ensure conformance to the maintenance and warranty provisions of the contract
  • Other duties as required

DOCUMENTATION

  • Prepare transmittals and submit them to design consultants
  • Expedite, review, and provide quality control on shop drawings and submittals
  • Obtain the required city permits for all project work
  • Conduct, manage and respond to regular quality control work inspections and site visits
  • Schedule, attend, and produce minutes for client meetings
  • Create and communicate weekly progress reports to management and clients
  • Review, issue, and proactively update lookahead schedules
  • Review and manage cost reporting and financial projections for construction
  • Check and approve invoices for payment
  • Prepare and execute subcontracts and material purchase orders
  • Coordinate and obtain occupancy and substantial completion certificates

PROJECT CLOSE-OUT

  • Create and execute a closeout plan for each job
  • Debrief projects with clients to ensure a final closeout and client feedback
  • Debrief all projects with the project, site and estimating team to ensure quality projects and lessons learned

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

  • Collaborate with each department to develop and implement systems and SOP's to simplify and streamline workflows

Required Experience & Skills:


  • Exceptional communication, management, customer service, problemsolving, and organizational skills
  • Strong construction safety knowledge, leadership, and approach to all work
  • 5+ years' experience as a Construction Project Manager managing various types of commercial, institutional, and civil construction
  • Degree in constructionrelated studies, PMP, is preferred or the equivalent combined education and experience
  • Strong working experience with MS Project, Office, and construction management, accounting and estimating software
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with standard construction contracts and contractual terms and practices
  • Technically strong with the ability to analyze project, architectural, structural, mechanical & electrical plans, specifications and permits
  • A high degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability
  • Highly selfmotivated, directed, and accountable
  • Access to a vehicle and a valid BC driver's license to drive to project sites throughout the lower mainland
