Job Summary:


Reporting to the Manager, Social Media, the Coordinator participates in the execution of the Harlequin Brand social media strategy, social media channel strategies and initiatives for the Harlequin Brand, sub-brands and product lines to drive brand engagement, brand equity and sales in North America.


In this role, you will contribute to the execution of social media program activities across channels including, but not limited to TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and emerging social platforms; schedule and publish monthly social media content; ideate and create trending social content including social video and motion graphics, track social media support for brand and product priorities for measurement, optimization and author management purposes; manage brand tracking and social listening tool in order to support the overarching brand strategy.


Responsibilities:


Social Media Strategy Execution (45%)

  • Manages the scheduling and publishing of social content through social media management platform (Sprout Social) that engages consumers with corporate priorities, assists marketing campaigns and longterm audience development goals
  • Leads the organization and creation of monthly social media content calendars for the Harlequin master brand and sub brand social channels
  • Maintains tracking of social media tactics and initiatives in digital support trackers for priority titles and campaigns.
  • Supports the Manager, Digital Advertising on the execution of paid social media initiatives.
  • Stays current with social media tools and platform features, trends, and best practices.
  • Maintain a customercentric approach to social media campaign planning to further existing
customer relationship and cultivate new consumer relationships with Harlequin brands.

  • Ensures social media postings employ best practices in hashtag usage and caption optimization.

Creative and Content Development (30%)

  • Supports the Manager, Social Media in the ideation and creation of specialized social media content for organic and paid initiatives for priority titles and brand campaigns.
  • Works with Manager, Social Media on planning, development, and creation of TikTok and Reels content.
  • Prepares monthly social media content requirements for master brand and titlebytitle support
  • Composes associated post copy for always on, priority title and campaign content.
  • Assist Assistant Manager, Social Media with ongoing author outreach for the author virtual live event programming, and video content creation including administration, communication with marketing, editorial and author engagement teams, and filming coordination.

Reporting, Measurement and Analysis (15%)

  • Monitors social listening tools for the Harlequin brand and campaign reach, sentiment trends, and crisis management tracking monthly and escalate findings to Manager, Social Media as necessary.
  • Track results from social media initiatives/campaigns to assist in campaign and titlebytitle postmortems
  • Identify emerging trends across social media platforms and within channel performance data to recommend optimization tactics and social content.

Team Communications (5%)

  • Work with key stakeholders across Brand Marketing, Editorial, Publicity, and Digital teams to manage a cohesive planning process, structure and flow that supports brand goals for the Harlequin brand, subbrands, & authors.

Social Media administrative duties as needed (5%)

Qualifications:

  • Specific training or job experience required includes:_
  • Postsecondary diploma/degree in a related field (Advertising/ Marketing/Communications)
  • 12 years of related experience and a strong background in social media or digital marketing.
  • Exceptional writing skills that can communicate creatively and in an engaging manner, utilizing the brand guidelines and voice.
  • Experience with current and emerging social media channels
  • Microsoft Office proficiency and experience with project management tools
  • Knowledge and proficient use in video editing tools for social media posting
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop & Sprout Social an asset
