The Policy, Legislative and Regulatory Accountability Branch (PLRA) is responsible for coordinating the Department's monitoring and reporting requirements under The Regulatory Accountability Act.
The Branch also analyses and evaluates current plans, policies, initiatives and programs for effectiveness and relevance to current environment and government priorities.

Qualifications:
Essential:
- Postsecondary degree in social sciences, public administration or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered
- Extensive analytical, research and evaluation experience
- Experience with governmental legislative/regulatory development process
- Ability to work as a team member
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Strong written communication skills
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in tight timeframes
- Ability to manage politically sensitive issues with confidentiality
Desired:
- Experience working with a Regulatory Accountability Database
Duties:
Reporting to the Director of the Policy, Legislative and Regulatory Accountability Unit, the Policy Analyst will be responsible for analysing, researching and processing legislative and regulatory requests in conjunction with the Regulatory Accountability Secretariat for the department.
The Policy Analyst will also ensure that the Department is complying with the Regulatory Accountability Act, including all processes and reporting requirements.
