Overview


The
Production Scheduler is an important part of our Production Scheduling and Supply Chain team, that plays an active supporting role in the operations and production process and a great opportunity to learn and understand our total Supply Chain process.


Details


The
Production Scheduler** supports the Production Planning & Supply-Chain team in maintaining and executing our detailed production schedules to maintain plant efficiencies and deliver customer requirements and inventory targets, ensuring our Production teams meet their targets.


  • Update and maintain production schedules in a variety of key systems (ERP, Manufacturing, Planning/scheduling etc.) on a daily basis.
  • Communicate schedules (daily, weekly) to the Production team and maintain production flow.
  • Communicate with our Customer Service team to understand the complexity of the orders coming in and working with the production team to ensure completion in a timely manner
  • Analyze production demand for each product category from high level to detailed level.
  • Coordinate and resolve Scheduling or Packaging related issues with Supervisors and changeover Leads.
  • Provide backup to Supply Chain (Production Purchaser).
  • Optimize production schedule by considering potential constraints (tooling, machinery, staffing).
  • Provide order status and completion timeline to Customer Service team, alerting them to potential delays, priority options etc.
  • Collaborate with all departments, including Production, Engineering, Quality, Customer Service and Sales.
  • Weekly meetings with Customer Service & Sales to review and resolve supply issues and opportunities.
  • Ensure packaging availability to support scheduled production.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

  • Experience in manufacturing or Production Scheduling.

  • Strong people skills and ability to impact and influence stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to multitask and stay on top of competing priorities
  • Solid criticalthinking and problemsolving ability.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office (
    Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.), ERP and MMS.

Assets

  • Power BI
  • Postsecondary degree in Supply Chain Management or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Thermoform manufacturing industry experience.
- "Preactor APS" (Advanced Planning and Scheduling) software experience.
