Position Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager - Supply Chain & Logistics to join our Global Materials Management & Logistics team.

This role is an on-site role located in Calgary.


Reporting to the Manager of Materials & Logistics, the Project Manager - Supply Chain & Logistics will be responsible to manage assigned projects and lead cross funtional teams to ensure the on-time delivery of the project scope within the project budget.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Preparing the Project Plan for assigned Projects for Global Materials Management and getting consensus on Project Scope from Stakeholders.
  • Identifying the Project Stakeholders and establishing Stakeholder Engagement plan.
  • Identifying the Resource requirements for Projects and managing the Resource planning process for assigned Projects.
  • Work closely with project leads to establish workflows, schedules, milestones, and deadlines and ensure they are clearly communicated to all stakeholders
  • Prepare a Cost baseline for the Project in coordination with the Stakeholders including Contingency reserves and reporting Actuals vs Budgeted costs for each Project.
  • Identifying risks and updating risk avoidance / risk mitigation plans in consultation with Stake holders on the Risk Register.
  • Updating the Issue Log for any impediments identified and managing Scope creep through the Change Management process.
  • Monitoring Project milestones and providing regular updates to the management as per the agreed Communication Plan.
  • Preparing and communicating the Lessons Learned for each Project at Project Completion.
Business Reporting

  • Weekly / monthly updates on all key aspect of responsibilities defined above.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in a Project management role with a strong background in inventory management, logistics, distribution, order management and within a commercial/industrial setting
  • Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Business Administration, Engineering or aerospace related degree, or equivalent experience. An MBA would be an asset.
  • CSCP / CLTD / SCMP / PMP / Agile / Six Sigma Certification would be a plus.
  • Proficiency with the IFS, SAP, JDE, or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems would be considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work effectively with people at all organizational levels.
  • Experience in Lean/ISO9000 environment
  • Experience with value stream mapping, technical writing, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fastpaced, dynamic, demanding and deadlinedriven environment
  • Effective and efficient stakeholder management, with proven influencing skills within large organizations
  • Experience in the aerospace industry and/or manufacturing environment is a benefit
