This position contributes to Starbucks success by assist in achieving the company's goals by providing financial leadership to the Product & Marketing team.

This includes analytical and strategic support for new growth initiatives, business cases for equipment and product innovation, sales planning and forecasting, monitoring business and competitive trends and uncovering actionable insights that influence future priorities and initiatives.

As a
Business Analysis Manager, Product & Marketing Finance, you will:

  • Become an analytical thought partner to cross-functional leaders, driving profitable sales growth.
  • Guide financial modeling to help shape recommendations and decisions. Projects can include product launches, promotion analysis, external partnerships, Starbucks Rewards programming, capital investments to support business growth, among others.
  • Own key components of the sales forecasting and planning process for Starbucks Canada, working closely with crossfunctional partners to develop building blocks for success in the shortterm while mapping out longterm business strategies to drive future growth.
  • Track sales results, understanding key performance drivers and uncovering customer and business insights to enhance performance.
  • Lead analytics for our Starbucks Rewards program, understanding key metrics and performance drivers and uncovering insights that fuel growth.
  • Manage the Discounts and Marketing expense line items, including monthly tracking/reporting, quarterly forecasting and annual planning.
  • Create executivelevel presentations to communicate the narrative around sales performance and customer behaviour, providing strategic and tactical recommendations to senior leaders and highlighting key upcoming risks and opportunities.
  • Coach and develop a finance analyst direct report.
  • Maintain close relationships with U.S. based colleagues, leveraging best practices from global programs to enhance the Canadian business.

Qualifications -

We'd love to hear from people with:

  • Bachelor's Degree (business, finance or accounting specialization preferred).
  • 57 years of financial analytical and planning experience.
  • Strong record of performance management, financial analysis and planning accountability.
  • Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience uncovering key insights and leveraging them to influence decision making.
  • Strong collaboration skills, and analytical thought partnership with crossfunctional teams.
  • Experience leading, coaching and developing one or more direct reports.
  • Ability to deliver results through others, setting priorities and meeting deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to communicate financial concepts to business leaders, both orally and in writing.
