- Capable of efficiently performing all the duties of a Maintenance Mechanic 3.
- Make major repairs to or rebuild any plant machine.
- Upgrade old equipment and construct new equipment to improve productivity or reduce labour content.
- Improvise to safely continue plant production in emergency situations.
- Competent in rigging, fitting and setting up of new equipment so that it is operational.
- Capable of operating a milling machine and lathe to make replacement parts.
- Capable of operating woodworking tools and constructing wooden requirements.
- Perform any other duties or responsibilities which arise or are assigned Qualifications
- Posses a provincial license for Millwright and/or Machinist.
- Possess superior mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
- Average physical fitness.
- Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Ability to work responsibly with a minimum of supervision. Summary
