JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT

The Market Development Agronomist will partner with sales leadership and other members of the location team to develop and provide agronomic and crop production solutions for our farm customers to help further commercial goals.

In this role, you will be involved in new product development and positioning to develop the assigned market.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Work with current and prospective customers to help them grow better crops through making sound crop production and risk management decisions with areas of focus to include crop planning, seed selection, nutrient, weed, disease, insect and harvest management and lead the organization's crop input market development plans to include customer field meetings, cooperative product trials, customer agronomy events, and marketing support.

Execute on the organization's crop input market development plans to include customer field meetings, cooperative product trials, customer agronomy events, marketing support and delivery of crop planning services as well as Work with farm customers to help them grow better crops through making sound crop production recommendations.

Areas of focus to include crop planning, seed selection, nutrient, weed, disease, insect and harvest management.
Maintain good relationships with our key crop input suppliers.

Serve as the specialist in crop production for the location team to include providing local crop production training to the location staff.

Collaborate with location teams in identifying, positioning and supporting products that align with customer needs, sales targets and margin objectives.

Independently solve moderately complex issues with mínimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

LI-YF1 Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Eligible for membership in the provincial institute of agrologists with a future requirement to obtain accreditation
Good understanding of agronomic services, farm customers and the agriculture industry
Minimum of 2 years of related work experience
Must be legally entitled to work at Cargill in Canada

Possess a valid Canadian Full Class 5 Driver's Licence in good standing, authorizing you to drive independently during the course of your employment.

Preferred Qualifications
Has obtained their Certified Crop Advisor designation
Some experience working with Western Canadian crops
Position Information
This position is based in North Battleford, SK, covering the Unity and North Battleford geography.
Relocation assistance will be provided for this position.
