Siegwerk is looking for a Material Handler to join our Inhouse Team in Mississauga, located at our customer's facility.

As a Material Handler you will maintain accurate stock inventories, calculate and place replenishment orders; coordinate exports and accompanying documents; process pick lists and putting products into stock inventory.


Responsibilities

  • Determines and places replenishment orders
  • Coordinates customer needs with Customer Service and Inhouse Manager
  • Loads and unloads trucks.
  • Opens crates/containers. Properly labels all products.
  • Organizes, stores, retrieves inventory. Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas. Sorts and places materials/items on racks, shelves, bins according to predetermined sequence, such as size, type, etc.
  • Reads production schedule, customer order, shipping order, etc., to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Fills requisitions, or requests for materials or other stock items and distributes.
  • Completes necessary paperwork (such as BOL, Packing List, etc.).
  • Operates dispenser and related equipment as required to fulfill Siegwerk commitments.
  • To communicate dispenser inventory levels to ordering.
  • Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
  • Depending on location, may be responsible for maintaining miscellaneous supply inventories (FED-X, UPS Sample container) or records.
  • Trains to learn backup responsibilities as Inhouse (Ink) Technician. This includes coordinating job set up for presses, formulating and blending inks, organizing inks for press runs, pressside color matching, and other duties.

Requirements:


  • High School diploma or GED required. Two years of college preferred.
  • Two years of inventory control training preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic Math skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, proportions and percentages.
  • Forklift Certification is strongly preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge, i.e., Word, Spreadsheet and Email.
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred.
  • Industry experience with ink or chemicals preferred.

Paid hourly:
$20 plus DOE
