We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Market Intelligence to join the TELUS Business Solutions (TBS) Strategy & Planning team within a dynamic, agile, and entrepreneurial environment.

The TBS Strategy & Planning team is responsible for driving profitable growth within the Business P&L through strategic program development, P&L management and governance, and acting as strategic advisors to our Finance and Marketing partners.

What you'll do


As the Manager, Market Intelligence, you oversee a talented team of individuals, whose goal is to effectively report on P&L, business and product performance.

Collaborating closely with Finance, Corporate Planning, Product and BI teams, you'll drive RGU reporting that encompasses the bigger picture across TBS and arm our LT with the data to make the right decisions for TBS.


  • You will build trust across Product, Finance, Marketing & Technology teams in driving new initiatives and enabling them with data
  • Own and manage KPIs, analyze data, find root causes, forecast performance, create reports and insights, present findings with leadership, make recommendations, explain the story behind the data and influence decisions
  • Make incremental improvements in financial reporting, reconciliations and processes
  • Drive projects across teams and business units working closely with leadership teams (Directors and up)
  • Effectively communicate with leadership and stakeholders providing them with regular updates on KPIs, programs and new solutions
  • Mentor team members and help them grow in their career

Qualifications:


What you bring

  • You have 5+ years of experience in Finance, Strategy or Marketing
  • You have experience answering business questions with data, defining business outcomes, managing stakeholder expectations, and collaborating with multiple team members
  • You can manage ambiguity, have good analytical skills and a passion for metrics and numbers
  • You love digging into quantitative and qualitative data
  • Expert experience with Excel or Google Sheet, running queries on database for retrieving data or using reporting dashboards
  • You have a bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science or related field

Great to haves

  • Prior telecommunications or B2B marketing experience
  • CFA, CPA or other recognized accredited program is desirable
