We are looking for someone who will work closely with the management team, the heads of our global subsidiaries, and the various internal teams.

As a Corporate Affairs Advisor, you will be asked to take on an advisory role in governance management while staying on top of the evolving best practices in the industry, particularly in terms of data protection.

Here are some of the tasks that you will undertake:


Responsibilities:


  • Analyze our current processes, make recommendations, and implement best practices in data management and protection
  • Participate in the design, implementation, and monitoring of some initiatives related to your responsibilities, notably governance management and enterprise risk management
  • Take on different mandates for the analysis of new regulations and best practices in corporate governance as well as risk management, and seek external opinions when necessary
  • Manage the insurance record of the InnovMetric group and its subsidiaries
  • Analyze contracts in accordance with our internal standards, then issue recommendations and make the necessary changes
  • Interpret, analyze, negotiate, draft, and maintain a variety of administrative or legal documents
  • Coordinate mandates assigned to external lawyers
  • Participate in a variety of projects for the continuous improvement of processes aligned with the objectives of the department

Qualifications:

  • Have a bachelor's degree in law or a related field
  • Have at least five years of relevant experience in an area related to compliance, risk management, or personal data management and governance
  • Be fluent in written and spoken English; an advanced level proficiency is mandatory since frequent collaboration and communication with nonFrancophone individuals is to be expected
  • Demonstrate an excellent ability to work with multidisciplinary teams in a multicultural context
  • Possess welldeveloped writing and synthesis skills
  • Be detail oriented, organized, and reliable
  • Be a member of the College of Company Directors (an asset)
