ABOUT THE JOB:

The Community Manager is responsible to support the Company's operations specifically with regards to the affordable housing programs and building communities.

This includes but is not limited to overseeing and managing the operations of the building, oversight of the leasing function, office systems and processes and meeting the needs of tenants.

As a key member of the team the role acts as a liaison between residents and the Company.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

On a day-to-day basis, the key responsibilities of the Community Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Monitors and maintains the efficient daily operations of the building and communicating with residents.
  • Assists and plans addressing issues related to service and maintenance in the building, including tickets, troubleshooting repairs, booking service, coordinating access, registration, and obtaining approvals as necessary, verifying invoices including chargeback coding
  • Oversees building operations, maintenance, inspections and life/safety requirements.
  • Oversees the moveout process including ensuring documentation is in place
  • Advance notice, closing up, moveout inspections and documenting repair work required, return of keys and deposit refunds.
  • Provides ongoing guidance to staff.
  • Prepares regular reporting for management in compliance with the City of Toronto's Affordable housing programs requirements.
  • Engages with residents, fostering an environment that reflects a positive community feeling.
  • Assists with activities related to the rental and leasing of suites, including showings, and inspections.
  • Completion of postsecondary education.
  • 5+ years of experience in the residential real estate administration field.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and relationshipbuilding skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to deliver high quality results while working under multiple deadlines.
  • High degree of comfort with working in an office environment.
  • High degree of professionalism with the ability to demonstrate tact and maintain confidentiality.
  • Availability and flexibility to work evenings and weekends at times.
