Position Information:


Working in the Division of Rheumatology, the Administrative Assistant works under the direction of the attending physicians(s) supporting the "biologics clinic".

- Temporary position until approximately December 05, 2025
Rotation/Shifts:
Days, 8 hour shifts.


Responsibilities:

The incumbent coordinates patient appointments, patient support programs for biologics, appropriate completion of medico-legal forms, and organizes meetings. Assists other administrators in the Division, as needed.

Some work can be done remotely. This is a temporary one-year position with the possibility of extension.


Basic Requirements:


  • Community College Diploma or equivalent;
  • Certificate in medical terminology is an asset;
  • 35 years recent related experience;
  • Good knowledge of MS Outlook, Word and Excel;
  • Meticulous attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and timemanagement skills;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Good judgement; able to identify when to seek supervisor¿s assistance or advice;
  • Strong problemsolving skills;
  • Able to handle sensitive and confidential information;
  • Initiative, tact, dedication, diplomacy, and a positive attitude;
  • Highly dependable and thorough;
  • Ability to work well with mínimal supervision;
  • Proficiency in speaking and comprehending both English and French is preferred.
