Position Information:
Working in the Division of Rheumatology, the Administrative Assistant works under the direction of the attending physicians(s) supporting the "biologics clinic".
Rotation/Shifts:
Days, 8 hour shifts.
Responsibilities:
The incumbent coordinates patient appointments, patient support programs for biologics, appropriate completion of medico-legal forms, and organizes meetings. Assists other administrators in the Division, as needed.
Some work can be done remotely. This is a temporary one-year position with the possibility of extension.
Basic Requirements:
- Community College Diploma or equivalent;
- Certificate in medical terminology is an asset;
- 35 years recent related experience;
- Good knowledge of MS Outlook, Word and Excel;
- Meticulous attention to detail;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and timemanagement skills;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Good judgement; able to identify when to seek supervisor¿s assistance or advice;
- Strong problemsolving skills;
- Able to handle sensitive and confidential information;
- Initiative, tact, dedication, diplomacy, and a positive attitude;
- Highly dependable and thorough;
- Ability to work well with mínimal supervision;
- Proficiency in speaking and comprehending both English and French is preferred.
