JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Revenue Management, the Reservations Manager is responsible for the hotel's group room blocks and transient reservations and assisting in the supervisory capacity for the front Office department and staff.
The Reservation Manager will assist the Group sales and Event Management teams by keeping accurate group room inventory, provide rooming list, pick up reports and billing details.
Responsible to assist with individual and contract bookings and daily reservation/revenue administration duties.Responsibilities
- Maintain knowledge in all Marriott sales and revenue systems as required for the role.
- Manage all transient room reservations while focusing on maximizing room revenue and average rate always using standard rate quoting's scenarios and upselling rooms when possible.
- Manage FIT/Wholesale reservations and inventory per contract.
- Send confirmations and credit card eauthorization forms.
- Manage advance deposits for all reservations, group and transient and ensure accurate processing of daily noshow bookings and late cancellations.
- Respond to eChannel guest messages.
- Balance daily and all future inventory in PMS and CRS
- Communicate and liaise closely with the Group Sales and Event Management Department on all group room block accounts.
- Build and manage all group blocks in all reservations systems (PMS, Sales system, and CRS) including but not limited to, billing, payments, room blocks, reservations, cut off dates, etc.
- Manage PMS group booking codes and adjust pick up rooms in the Sales System (CI/TY)
- Prepare weekly rooms forecast and group resumes for the operations team.
- Prepare group files for arrival including all pertinent information required for our guests.
- Responsible for contract room blocks in the means of reservations, revisions, and monthly reconciliation of accounts.
- Validate and process Group, Travel Agency, and Contract commissions.
- Provide additional supervisory support and quality assurance support to the front desk in keeping with the Sheraton brand.
- Participate in hotel operations meetings, including but not limited to weekly resume meetings, department head meetings, sales and revenue meetings.
- Other administrative tasks as required by direct supervisor.
Qualifications
- Minimum of twoyear experience as a hotel front desk agent or a reservations agent role.
- Ability to multitask and work independently and efficiently.
- Time management is critical in this role.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.
- Bilingual in English and French is required.
