Hours Per Week: 40 hours, Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

What you will do:


The Food Trak Lab Maintenance Technician will maintain the Food Trak software by accurately completing food and beverage requisitions, reports, imputing invoices and all trouble shooting needs relating to the FOOD-TRAK software.

The incumbent will order, distribute and maintain an accurate inventory of employee, student and retail open stock uniforms.

The incumbent must assist with day-to-day cleanliness/sanitation, maintenance and supply of par stocks to all labs and related activities, including day and evening classes.


The incumbent will provide assistance to employees and students as it relates to lab equipment, maintenance and supplies and liaises with repairs, cleaning and service providers for all labs and equipment.


What you bring to the role:

Education

Experience
A minimum of one (1) year of practical work experience in a related environment (i.e. commercial kitchen/culinary education setting), which demonstrates knowledge of food product, commercial equipment and applicable health and safety and food safety regulations.


Skills

  • Superior food product knowledge
  • Experience working with a food distribution software (i.e. FoodTrak), Microsoft 365, Excel, imputing skills including database and spreadsheets
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to explain complex processes.
  • Basic understanding of commercial kitchen equipment operations. Able to communicate issue to external technician to request service or internal facilities to report and generate work orders
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines and can handle many tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Able to step in and adapt to changing
