The Laboratory Consultant requires the following experience/skills:
setting required.

Minimum 5+ years experience establishing laboratory CPOE workflows in ambulatory care and acute care

settings with Cerner EMR solutions; heavy emphasis on experience in implementing workflows that occur

Outside of the laboratory department.

A broad knowledge level of healthcare Information Technology (IT) principles, best practices, and an in[1]depth understanding of lab workflows to complete moderate to highly complex and multifaceted

assignments.

Strong experience with defining future state laboratory CPOE workflows throughout the full laboratory

lifecycle, with particular focus on pre and post analytic phases.

Involvement with large scale EMR implementations in fast paced environments.
Experience driving transformational changes in healthcare environments working closely with physicians,

nurses, clerks, ancillary department staff, and other key partners.

Experience translating future state workflows to Cerner system designs.
Familiar with change management/incident management processes.
Proven ability to lead transformation within highly complex EMR implementation projects. Proven history of

coordinating in a team-based project to produce high quality deliverables.

Providing expert consultative guidance and direction on change initiatives, effectively dedicating time across

more than one project, and meeting established deadlines.

Proven familiarity of testing as it pertains to laboratory CPOE designs. Proven proficiency developing test
Strong awareness of common problems associated with implementation of lab CPOE workflows and

leveraging this experience to create future state workflows that avoid problems to ensure high levels of user

satisfaction.

Demonstrated high energy levels and tolerance of tight deadlines, time pressures, and ambiguity. Ability to

work independently with mínimal direction.

Demonstrated effective communicator for purposes of interpersonal relations to understand and identify

project needs and overall objectives.

Experience in large scale, fast faced healthcare environments.
Strong Knowledge Cerner Power Chart and related functionality that supports Laboratory CPOE.
Cerner certifications considered an asset but not required

Salary:
$40.00-$50.00 per hour
