About the Team:

Provide easy access to consistent high-quality information, insights, & foresight to drive action: The Data Specialist will be a key member in the Data Department.

The Data Specialist will identify and develop improvements in data, processes, and technical environment, reassuring the quality of the information.

They will also participate in the creation of the data available for user, design and implement dataflows, semantic layers and dashboards to enhance the data culture at Kinaxis and information available on the company.

What you will do:

Collaborate with team members (Data Architects, Data Engineers, Data Analysts) to develop and implement data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
Develop Power BI dataflows, semantic layers, and dashboards.
Participate in the Analytics & Business Intelligence duties, by creating all the necessary elements involved in the development of data solutions.
Develop/Enhance our testing processes and procedures
Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports/analysis
Help automate processes and procedures for scalability and efficiencies
May perform additional projects upon request

What we are looking for:

BS or BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, or demonstrated equivalent experience
Skilled in Power BI, with good understanding of Power Query, DAX, and visualizations.
Understating of relational databases and proficiency on SQL
Understanding of ETL development
Possession of problemsolving attitude
Should have a strong suite of analytical skills
Competent in the communication of results with the stakeholders and team using different storytelling techniques
Competent with variety of Software development methodologies
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
