True North Sports + Entertainment is looking for a creative and highly motivated professional to join our team.


Reporting to the General Manager, the
Event & Marketing Coordinator is an integral part of the True North's team serving as a resource to all hockey for all centre employees and Event Organizers related to marketing and events occurring at the hockey for all centre.


What to be excited for in this role:

  • Proactively source new events and revenue streams ensuring consistent contact with event organizers
  • Communicate and be the liaison between the various True North teams including security, audio & visual, event staffing, and event organizers.
  • Lead the event planning team, managing all aspects of planning and marketing from start to finish for various types of events at hockey for all centre.
  • Administrative tasks as required such as drafting contracts, quotes, expenses, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist with delivering programming content.
Marketing

  • Manage the creation, scheduling, and distribution of marketing communication through all digital media platforms to provide timely, consistent, and engaging information to followers/customers.
  • Organize, coordinate, and deliver an enewsletter, and recruitment updates for seasonal programs and camps to current and prospective hockey for all centre customers.
  • Create, design, and implement campaigns on various social media platforms to increase brand awareness and stakeholder's engagement.
  • Coordinate hockey tournaments and provide recommendations for marketing strategies to increase registrations.
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns, strategies, and activities to increase brand recognition related to the hockey for all centre and Jets Hockey Development

What we need from you:


  • Postsecondary degree in a related field and/or event management experience.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative, proactively avoid or solve problems, work independently, and be entrepreneurial in approach.
  • Superior ability using PCbased tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Well organized, good attention to detail and strong ability to followup.
  • Pleasant, outgoing, and cheerful demeanor/character and professional in appearance.
  • Ability to exhibit discretion and confidentiality as required.
  • Interest & willingness to become part of staff team providing a Superior Patron Experience.
  • Current or previous experience playing team sports is considered an asset.
