General Labour (formerly called Hand sander)

Grade - 10

Department: 0- Hand Sanding

Afternoon Shift

Location: 1000 Arrow Rd

Job Function

  • Operation of a Hand and Orbital Sander on wood products
  • Follow shop floor controls
  • Perform required quality inspections
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Able to take the initiative to solve problems, where appropriate
  • Must be willing to crosstrain in various areas of the department as required
  • Follow all Knoll safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Participate and maintain 5S in the workplace
  • Maintain and follow the ISO standard operating procedures
  • Ability to work in a multishift environment including flexible hours and weekends
  • Participate in and contribute to the continuous improvement process
  • Education Requirement_
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to communicate in English (both verbal and written)
  • Experience_
  • One (1) year of experience within Knoll's manufacturing environment
  • Touchup and repair experience an asset
