    Compensation: $18.00 to $21.00 hourly

    Are you a Bookkeeper interested in the Mining industry and working closely with colleagues? Robert Half has an opportunity with a well-respected company. The ideal candidate for this Bookkeeper position would be highly-skilled in A/P, A/R, General ledger, and financial reporting. The short-term contract / temporary Bookkeeper will work in the Lac-des-iles, Quebec area.

    Major responsibilities

    Maintain and balance general ledger

    Support quality archived records by filing documents

    Reconcile accounts by rectifying entries

    Design Accounts Receivable invoices, analyzing payments received, and record deposits

    Organize a structured method to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; define bookkeeping policies and procedures

    Assemble financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information

    Be responsible for accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions

    Job Requirements:
    - Practical knowledge of bank reconciliations

    - Solid understanding of Sage 300

    - Adjusting Journal Entries experience

    - Proficiency in bi-Monthly Payroll

    - Adeptness in journal entries

    - Command of Accounts Payable (AP)

    - General familiarity with Month-end Journal Entries

    - Monthly Bank Reconciliation experience highly preferred

    - Canadian Payroll experience preferred

    - Demonstrated knowledge of Ledger Journal Entries

    - Prior experience working with collections/accounting software

    - 2+ years of previous experience as a Bookkeeper

    - BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred
