- Collaborate with game teams/internal clients to understand their offerings and develop data science products to address their live service needs.
- Support the team leads in Live Services (Recommendations/Matchmaking/Personalization) by standardizing products across different titles.
- Participate in team projects within the live service domain, suggesting methodologies and steering project direction.
- Ensure robust methodology and experimental design, overseeing projects from inception to completion.
- Effectively communicate data science projects and products to stakeholders, including those without a data science background.
- Enhance and manage the data pipeline utilizing technologies like S3, Kubernetes, Sagemaker, GCP, Python, Apache Kafka, & Hive.
- Utilize data manipulation, processing, and visualization to support modeling efforts.
- Assist game and data teams in making strategic decisions.
- Provide mentorship to junior team members.
- 4+ years of experience manipulating data sets, building statistical models, and operationalizing models, along with applying Data Science methodologies to real-world challenges.
- Ph.D./Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science preferred.
- Experience in recommendation, personalization, matchmaking, and forecast modeling.
- Proficiency in analyzing complex, multi-dimensional data sets using various tools.
- Excellent verbal, visual, and written communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, PyTorch/TensorFlow, Hive/Hadoop, and AWS/GCP.
- Experience in the gaming industry is a plus.
