    Casual Financial Bookkeeping Position


    • Part-time contract - 2 days /week
    • Contract for 3 months with an extension


    You are an enthusiastic and energetic individual with proven bookkeeping knowledge and some experience with payroll, account payable and account receivable processes, and administrative office functions.

    You are a self-starter, a great listener and communicator, and you're looking for an opportunity to join an office team on a part-time work schedule to provide administrative support to their team.

    The Raise ( has partnered with our client, a federally certified marine response organization that is affiliated with a large Oil & Gas company and independently operated. They are a successful team of engineers and technicians hosting a positive and casual environment.

    Now they are looking for you: their new Casual Financial Bookkeeping support to join their team.


    As their new Casual Financial Bookkeeping Support, you will report directly to the General Manager and play a vital role in assisting the General Manager with various company business requirements.

    Act as the main office receptionist, greeting visitors and directing calls when necessary.

    • Handle daily office tasks including answering telephones, distributing mail, and managing office supplies.
    • Manage office files, including creation, filing, and archiving.
    • Assist in the creation of forms, manuals, and office procedures.
    • Provide support in software programs.
    • Reconcile accounting documents and perform data entry tasks.
    • Undertake financial bookkeeping duties including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliation, General Ledger, Budget preparation, Payroll reporting, Canada Revenue Agency reporting, Contract documentation, and Audit support.


    This is a part-time administrative support contract position for 3 months to start with a high possibility of extension for a longer time.

    The ideal candidate will be based in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada area and work in the office 2 days per a week.

    Staff and Contractors are asked to participate on a case-by-case basis, depending on their availability at that time. Compensation for emergency response work is provided above regular contract hours.

    Collaboration with supervisors and other administrative support personnel

    • Completion of post-secondary education with a focus on Finance and bookkeeping
    • Proficient knowledge of computer software including Windows, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
