    Have you dealt with multiple internal stakeholders in a high volume fast-paced environment?

    If so this could be the role for you


    Our client who is a global manufacturer within the Energy Sector in the Montreal region is looking to hire a Production planner with some technical background or experience, who will be responsible for production planning for component repair and new engineering building division.

    Contract: 9 months (possibility for extension or hire)

    Responsibilities


    • Coordinate the S&OP process for Aero-derivative Gas Turbines across multiple sites for Package, Power Turbine and core deliveries.
    • Support scenario planning (including shop resource, material, engineering, etc) for both R&O and New Production in order to support bidding activity.
    • Define the supportable plan for both R&O and new production activity to ensure that the overall plan supports commitments provided to customers.
    • Analyze the current and future capability plan of the production units and communicate the procedures to follow in order to respect timely delivery to customers and master plan
    • Coordinate various activities (production, materials, engineering, outsourcing, laboratory, shipping, receiving, controller A, etc.) in order to respect the master schedule and ensure on time delivery
    • Communicate delays and develop a recovery plan
    • Measure and communicate the percentage of on time deliveries
    • Analyse manpower performance of the shop floor on a weekly basis.
    • Participate in the improvement of planning tools and participates in the development of procedures
    • Make sure the processes in place are functional and meet scheduled timelines
    • Determine the number of employees required to meet the production plan
    • Measure and participate in the development of corrective measures for failing processes
    • Develop the required TRT and negotiate TRT agreements with the internal customers
    • Use and improve the capability tools of the management system
    • Suggest solutions to increase the capability of his production units
    • Keep all the information updated in the planning-related system: Streamer, PIR, standard time, staff assignment, production order, etc.
    • Ensure test availability/ keep test schedule updated
    • Communicate and distribute work schedules to his multidisciplinary team (Supervisor, Controller A)
    • Manage work-in-progress (WIP) level in line with agreed targets
    • Apply master scheduling principles
    • Offer advice, support and coaching to the employees and representatives on production techniques and new management philosophies.
    Qualifications
    Bachelor degree in industrial engineering or BAA in operations management

    Minimum 5 years of experience as a production scheduler (related field)

    Knowledge of manufacturing field, preferably cell management
    Knowledge of MS project - must
    Knowledge of Preactor - preferable
    Good command of Word, Excel and PowerPoint software.
    Familiar with SAP management system (PS1)
    Change driving and monitoring skills
    Problem solving and work performance
    Communication and reporting skills
    Teamwork

    Member or eligible for Membership to the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ)
    Very good knowledge of French
    Very good knowledge of English
