- This position is located in Lloydminster and requires the successful candidate to live in the area
- This is a full-time employee position working a shift rotation
- The facility is in rural Saskatchewan located approximately 60 km from Lloydminster, AB/SK.
- Shared work-purpose-only vehicles are provided.
- The work schedule is comprised of a 12-hour shift rotating between days/nights including working weekends/stat holidays (7 on/7 off).
- You will be required to work in a wide variety of conditions due to the nature of the operation. (i.e., working at heights, in confined spaces, H2S environment, in extreme weather conditions etc.)
- Operate the Facility in a safe and effective manner, while working collaboratively as part of the operating team.
- Maintain and troubleshoot all area-specific equipment to optimize performance to meet production targets as per Company guidelines.
- Perform condition monitoring including sampling and testing per area responsibilities. Complete area operations records. (e.g., volume balances, log sheets, work permits and required reports).
- Support operations performed maintenance activities aligned to the site's operating philosophy. Ensure on-site maintenance workers are informed of Company's requirements, policies and practices.
- Provide assistance, coaching, on-the-job training and assessments to new employees as required.
- Follow all HS&E requirements in the performance of this Position's responsibilities.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- A Minimum 3rd Class Power Engineering certificate is required; however, preference will be given to those candidates who hold a 2nd class or have made significant advancement towards completing their 2nd class.
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry preferably with a focus on SAGD operations.
- Experience in the operation of steam generating equipment, control panel, oil processing and/or well equipment and associated process and systems is an asset.
- Proficiency with computers is required.
- Proven understanding of safety and regulatory standards and procedures.
- Mechanical competence / strong troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments.
- For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate.
