Job Summary


Maintains and administers the Human Resources functions in the hotel ensuring compliance with legal legislature, training, recruitment, performance management, workers compensation and benefits.


Requirements:


  • Postsecondary education in Human Resources or Business Administration.
  • 2 years of relevant work experience required or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Experience with either ADP or Ceridian payroll REQUIRED.
  • Working experience with ADP Workforce Now a distinct advantage.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work well independently with an ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Must be proactive and take initiative.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality, utilize judgment, and work with mínimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment with conflicting priorities.
  • Microsoft Office, including MS 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint & Outlook) required.

Daily Tasks

  • Manage and Maintain HRIS in ADP as required.
  • Shall be the first point of contact to assist with Associate enquiries ensuring appropriate followup and responsiveness.
  • Must be visible and accessible.
  • Provide biweekly payroll assistance as directed by Human Resources Director (this should lessen the burden of payroll on HR and keep this task with Payroll Specialist)
  • Build effective relationships with internal teams to understand their business goals to proactively identify and implement solutions that align with organizational values and strategies.
  • Lead full cycle recruitment (posting jobs, screening, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks and background checks)
  • Assist the Director of HR and Facilitate the employee orientation and on boarding for all new hires.
  • Manage termination process (i.e. conducting exits, exit interviews, processing of terminations etc.)
  • Demonstration proactiveness in identifying solutions to simplify, automate and improve processes, HR initiatives, policies etc.
  • Administration and maintenance including report generating.
  • Actively participate in department and facility meetings as required.
  • Planning, organizing and executing various HR sponsored meetings/events. (i.e. active presence in social committee, facility lunch and learns etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned.
