As an Accounting Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the day-to-day accounting operations.

You will also be adept at account reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and financial analysis. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:


Accounts Payable:
Review vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and process payments in a timely manner. Ensure proper authorization and documentation for all payables. Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or issues.

General Ledger Maintenance:
Assist in maintaining the general ledger by accurately recording financial transactions. Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain supporting documentation.

Expense Management:
Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies. Verify receipts and supporting documentation, reconcile expenses, and facilitate reimbursement.

Bank Reconciliation:
Reconcile bank statements on a regular basis, identifying and resolving any discrepancies. Investigate and follow up on outstanding items and ensure accuracy of cash balances.

Financial Reporting:
Assist in preparing financial reports, statements, and schedules as required. Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and adjusting entries.

Recordkeeping:
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation. Ensure proper filing and archival of accounting documents for easy retrieval and audit purposes.

Compliance:
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and internal policies. Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry practices related to accounting and financial reporting.

Administrative Support:

Provide general administrative support to the finance department, including handling correspondence, filing, and assisting with special projects as assigned.


Financial Reporting Support:
Collaborate with the accounting team to provide necessary information and support for financial reporting and month-end/year-end closing activities.

Process Improvement:
Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts payable function. Implement efficient procedures and workflows to enhance accuracy, effectiveness, and productivity.

Compliance:
Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and relevant regulations. Adhere to established controls and guidelines to maintain the integrity of financial data.


Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate's degree in Accounting or related field is a plus).
  • Proven experience as an Accounting Technician or similar role.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
