As part of Clinical Applications (eChart) team in the Information Management & Technology (IMT) portfolio and reporting to the Manager - Clinical Applications, the Project Manager will be responsible for project planning, facilitation, and implementation for the Clinical Applications team.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Facilitate and track the completion of project tasks, milestones, internal issues, and risks.
  • Coordinate, develop and implement change management strategies with the Clinical Project team that will lead the organizational change, including a training and support plan, and the transition back to operations
  • Work with clinical user groups and the technical teams to review processes and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Serve as point of contact and escalation for team members and stakeholders when multiple areas are involved in the same project/initiative to ensure team actions remain in synergy.
  • Monitor vendor progress, contract monitoring, and tracking of deliverables outlined in the contract.
  • Assist with facilitating system solution review and design sessions with clinical areas as necessary to ensure the delivery of the solution will meet the clinical needs.
  • Integrate project plans and timeframes with Information Technology Services, departments and clinical programs.
  • Facilitate decisionmaking and solutioning when issues/conflicts arise.

EDUCATION

  • Undergraduate degree in Information Systems, Business or Hospital Administration
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred
  • Clinical experience, is an asset

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience leading projects, preferably in a health care environment.
  • Demonstrated success in managing ITrelated projects in health care settings including planning, designing and implementation.
  • Experience with Oracle Health (Cerner) or any other Health Information System (e.g. Epic, Meditech), an asset.
  • Experience with databases, systems and network management, telecommunications, desired.
  • Superior interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Extensive experience with change management and user adoption.
  • Knowledge of hospital operations, and the 'bigger picture' in order to leverage interdependencies and opportunities to enhance operations for a successful launch.
  • Strong team player with the ability to lead, influence, and solve problems as they arise within diverse functional groups.
  • Experience working with vendors and contracts, desired.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and problem solve.
  • Good work and attendance record required.
