Jubb Utility Supply Ltd, a distributor of Tools and Safety Equipment for the utility industry has an immediate career opportunity for a High Voltage Testing Associate.

Role

The High Voltage Testing Associateis responsible for all aspects of cleaning, testing, replacing gloves; cleaning, building, repairing and testing electrical cable products including live line jumpers.

Responsibilities

Learn to safely operate all testing equipment and complete all safety training
Upon receiving product for testing, it is your responsibility to wash, clean, test, stamp, move and pack product for shipping back to customer
Communicate with Service Coordinator and Supervisor concerning Rush or priority orders, refurb deadlines and any other lead time related issues
Review Customer Specs before initiating work to ensure compliance with customer's standards
Follow warehouse procedures for collecting and replacing inventory
Test new and retest used rubber, blankets, gloves, jumpers and sticks according to ASTM standards
Identify and label refurb product, replacing or modifying damaged or broken materials as required and advise repair department if other material/parts are required
Accurately complete certificates in alignment with testing report
Execute quality assurance procedures and update forms, ensuring all information is accurate before releasing any work orders
Maintain an orderly inventory of all components used for each work order
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Change water in tub and sink as per schedule or more often as required
Perform other duties as required

Qualifications and Requirements

Physical work 80% of the time
Attention to detail
Handson mechanical aptitude
Friendly, flexible and a team player
Quick learner
Excellent communication and problemsolving skills
Excellent organizational skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to stand during majority of shift, occasionally lift/carry up to 50+ Lbs
Driver's licence
Comprehend and follow safety regulations and instructions including WHMIS
