Machinist
Working in the Production department, you will be responsible for producing components on both manual and CNC machines.

About Linamar

Key Accountabilities

Working in the Tool Room, producing components, fixtures, etc. on both manual and CNC machines
Responsible for working on the shop floor, learning CNC machining
Ability to communicate and work effectively with others
Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Assist with additional projects as required

Minimum Requirements

Ability to work rotating shifts
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
CSA approved Safety shoes are required for this positon

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize
Able to work in a fast paced environment
Related work experience and/or training will be viewed as assets

Each year Linamar goes through an extensive review of our pay rate for Co-op positions.

Pay rate adjustments are made based on current market analysis for the type of position, geographic region and comparable organizations.

We also do this analysis to ensure we are remaining competitive and attracting high potential students with hopes that they join Linamar in a full time capacity when they graduate into the workforce.
