Description

Essential Functions:

This position works closely with Underwriters and Underwriting Assistants in the binding of insurance, servicing of policies, and review/follow-up of underwriting information.

The position encourages and creates opportunities for growth so team members can develop their insurance acumen for long term company advancement.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with multiple departments to ensure best possible outcome for all inquiries while minimizing touches and providing excellent customer service
Gather information and approval where necessary to prepare binder for delivery to Customer
Pursue opportunities for growth and development through USLI University, continuing education, workshops and classes
Communicate ideas for procedural or workflow improvement
Complete departmental specific reports or projects including daily follow ups and research Bound Not Issued items
Develop in depth knowledge for all products handled within specific Underwriting Assistant Team
Understand interdepartmental relationships and the duties of each, including Policy Issuance, Underwriting Services, Billing and Underwriting
Other duties as assigned

Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills
Strong commitment to customer service and attention to detail
Ability to work independently in a fast paced team environment
Desire to learn and understand our insurance product offerings

Minimum Job Requirements:

Post
secondary education or equivalent business experience
