This position is primarily responsible for leading an operating team which develops and implements processes designed to deliver safe and efficient operations to facilitate the receipt, handling, storage and loading of on-spec Jet Fuelso that, we provide our customers and stakeholders "Best-in-Class" service.


Main accountabilities include:


  • Maintain contact with the local Airport Authorities, airlines, intoplane agents, and regulatory agencies.
  • Provide leadership and training actively developing the skills and capabilities of the Fuel Farm Operators.
  • Work with engineers on design criteria for different elements within the facility.
  • Oversee all contractors and construction projects, also prepares and issues work orders and contracts for fuel facility.
  • Safeguard the health, safety security and welfare of staff, customers and other visitors as required in full compliance with the Company's Health & Safety Policy.
  • Direct involvement in budget compliance and preparation.
  • Directs procurement of all maintenance and operation preventative maintenance.
  • Directs preparation of work schedule to obtain optimum utilization of human resources and facilities.
  • Assist in development of training material and procedural manuals, and conduct training and orientation as necessary for base programs.
  • Responsible for hiring, terminations, and/or disciplinary actions for all fuel facility and administrative employees; while also, performs annual evaluations on same.
  • To process, in a professional and confident way, any questions, queries or grievances.
  • Oversight of Worker's Compensation claims and filing.
  • Ensuring investigations take place into any incident/accident, nonconformity or service delivery failure, with resulting corrective actions being established and then maintained.
  • Is able to meet the Station's attendance standards.
  • Assist General Manager and support personnel with any other reasonable duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Qualified Mechanic with 310T, minimum five (5) years related experience.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience, demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop employees.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and legally able to work in Canada.
  • Must have valid Driver's license and ability to obtain and hold a DA.
  • Well organized with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, able to work on their own initiative to specific deadlines, have the ability to recognise and deal with challenges promptly and efficiently.
  • Experience in fueling operations and good understanding of the Operational departments.
  • Ability to drive and deliver improvement plans and the relevant followup processes.
  • Adaptability with regards to working with a multinational workforce and collaborating well with local working unions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with employees, management, customers, and outside institutions.
  • Must be flexible to adapt to changing demands/circumstances/weather conditions and available to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70lbs when required.
  • Must be able to obtain and hold all required security clearances.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
