Are you a strategic and collaborative financial leader? The Corporate Business and Services Branch within the Ontario Heritage Trust is seeking an innovative leader to join their team as the Manager, Financial Services and IT.
This senior manager will manage and lead the overall financial management, controllership functions and accounting operations, and to deliver strategic and operational financial and information technology services to the Ontario Heritage Trust.

The OHT:
- manages, and in some cases, restores provincially significant historic buildings and their related artifact and archaeological collections.
- provides public access and interpretive programs at its properties.
- negotiates and monitors conservation easement and agreements with owners of both historical buildings and natural heritage sights.

What can I expect to do in this role?: As the
Manager, Financial Services and IT, you will:
- lead and manage the provision of a variety of corporate financial and information technology services to support the strategic directions and mandate of the Trust.
- provide operational direction and day-to-day administration of financial control and reporting, revenue and expenditure accounting.
- lead the preparation of annual budgets and the allocation of financial resources.
- provide leadership, expertise, guidance, conclusions and recommendations to the Trust's Director of Corporate Businesses and Services and Senior Management.
- provide leadership, coaching and direction to finance and IT staff and fostering a team approach to accomplishing the unit business plan objectives.

- You demonstrate the

Technical Expertise and Specialized Knowledge:
- You have knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and sound financial practices, including strategic financial planning, financial controllership and risk management principles; performance, financial and management processes usually acquired through the completion of a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent.
- You have knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g. Ontario Heritage Act, Excise Tax Act (HST), Financial Administration Act, Trustee Act, etc.) and directives, policies and guidelines.
- You have knowledge of emerging trends and developments in information technology.
Communication and Relationship Management Skills:
- You can provide advice, recommendations and guidance in the form of briefings, issue papers, presentations, memorandum and reports to senior executives.
- You have the ability to negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors.
- You have strong communication and political acuity skills to provide guidance and advice to liaise with a variety of people of diverse background and skills.
- You can effectively manage expectations and anticipate and resolve major obstacles and conflicts.
