Summary/Objective
The
Airline
Operations Agent provides operational support and superior customer service to API clients.

The Airline Operations Agent collaborates with internal departments and outside parties to mitigate operational challenges involving clients, hotels and transportation to achieve excellent outcomes for our customers.


Essential Functions:

Provide total customer service including and not limited to the following:


  • Assess client requirements in priority order. Ensure hotel and transportation requests are completed.
  • Build and maintain successful business relationships with clients by providing prompt, courteous and accurate service solutions.
  • Appropriately escalate critical issue(s) that may require management involvement for resolution.
  • Negotiate with vendors (Hotels, Ground Transportation, others) to best support the client and API.
  • Resolve client disagreements in a professional manner. Present facts to support solutions.
  • Ability to work within a team environment or work independently.
  • Punctual and respectful of agreed upon working hours.
  • Successful completion of Operations Agent certification training.

Competencies
-
Airline crew scheduling experience a strong plus
:


  • Prior experience with GDS systems, hotel reservation systems, airline reservation systems and/or related functions
    _preferred but not required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with great telephone etiquette.
  • Able to work independently in a fast paced remote or inoffice work environment.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to multi task and prioritize.
  • Detail oriented with great organizational skills.
  • Flexible availability to work varying schedules including weekends and holidays.
  • Able to work overtime if needed.
  • Second language a

  • Ability to positively present API in customer facing situations.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Full-time position. Overnight, evening and weekend shifts available.


Required Education and Experience

  • Customer service background is a plus.
  • Airline/Hotel/Travel experience is a plus.
