    Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer

    Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to work on a 1-year contract with very high potential of renewal, for one of BC's largest utility and energy companies This individual will facilitate project tracking and support various teams in project coordination. They will also attend meetings as a compliance representative, continuously improve the compliance project tracker, interface with Subject Matter Experts, and communicate technical information effectively.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Facilitating project tracking for multiple teams.
    2. Supporting the Operations and Planning (O&P) and Sustainment Teams, including Transmission and Generation (TSTN & GSTN), in project coordination.
    3. Attending various meetings as the IP MRS representative to ensure compliance efforts throughout projects implementation phases.
    4. Continuous development of the compliance project tracker to improve processes.
    5. Interfacing projects with the appropriate Subject Matter Experts.
    6. Ensuring projects deliver the appropriate level of detail, by anticipating the needs of compliance SMEs.
    7. Understanding, classifying, and summarizing technical project information; and communicating technical information accurately, succinctly, and consistently.

    Requirements:

    • Entry level to one (1) year of experience in a relevant engineering field or equivalent.
    • University graduate in applied science or engineering.
    • Registered Engineer-in-Training or Geoscientist-in-Training with Engineers & Geoscientists BC or another jurisdiction and/or eligible for registration as such with Engineers & Geoscientists BC.
    • Power system background knowledge.
    • Must be able to come to office 2x a week.
    • Must be able to start within 4 weeks.
