What You'll Be Contributing


Reporting to the Lead Technical Services Engineer, you will be exposed to and required to balance material science, technical capability, strategy, marketing, sales and management.


Key Responsibilities:


Technical Services of Cementations Products:

  • Assist Field Engineer during field testing concrete at customer sites, offering troubleshooting and technical expertise in relation to production and product development
  • Work with customers in the development and implementation of new solutions
  • Promote Ash Grove products to users and Engineering specifiers of cement
  • Maintain highly positive company profile through participation in industry associations
  • Work with the Marketing team to help strengthen the link between managing customer needs around quality, while focusing on Corporate Social Responsibility

Qualifications
Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's/University Degree preferably in Engineering (in progress)
Work Requirements

  • Extensive travel required between sites
Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Knowledge of the Energy/ waste sector, Construction Industry and Engineering Building Design sector
  • Ability to organize and write effective technical reports and communicate effectively with a high level of technical skill
  • A strategic thinker, able to identify opportunities and manage new ideas and projects
  • A selfstarter with strong sense of initiative to be able to think outside the box and motivate and coordinate diverse teams
  • Ability to work on large concepts down to finite details
  • Advanced interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Energetic with strong business acumen
  • A selfstarter that has the ability to collaborate with a number of teams

  • This position may require some lifting of objects no heavier than fifty pounds (50 lbs.)
  • This is sedentary in nature but may require occasional periods of standing and walking
  • This position requires extensive driving to remote parts of Ontario
