Environmental Coordinator
Are you at least two years into your environmental consulting career, and looking to be recognized for your strong organization and communication skills?

Are you interested in being involved in some of Ontario's largest and most exciting projects in the infrastructure, energy or mining sectors?


Hatch is currently looking for Environmental Coordinators who are ready to join a team of dedicated, passionate professionals who are motivated by a dynamic work environment; immersing themselves in a multi-disciplinary project; and providing an exceptional client experience.


Qualifications and Experience:


  • A Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Planning or related discipline; and
  • 2 years of direct working experience relevant to environmental consulting.

The Role:


  • Contribute to the coordination of projects in a fast paced, consulting environment;
  • Organize and track a variety of tasks, actions and deliverables as part of a wider environmental team;
  • Assist in the coordination of work done by other environmental specialists (e.g., noise, air, archaeology, built heritage, fisheries, terrestrial ecologists);
  • Collect and synthesize scientific literature, existing data sets and secondary source material;
  • Support the preparation of documents for the completion of Environmental Assessments (Federal, Parks Canada, Provincial, Municipal and Transit Project Assessment Process under O. Reg. 231/08, specific to Metrolinx projects); and
  • Provide support in a technical advisory role specific to large transit projects (e.g., review contractor submittal for compliance with the project agreement, coordinator site visits, complete environmental inspections).
