Responsibilities:


  • Perform reviewing QA/QC standards and procedures required for the project are implemented and within the company guidelines.
  • Participates in periodic updates and regularly communicates with the customer, project team, field staff, subcontractors, and all other stakeholders to ensure compliance of construction projects with specifications, schedule, and budget through completion.
  • Ability to organize and complete work as assigned per supervisor's direction.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain working relationships with employees and clients.
  • Reviewing and documenting field reports, maintaining a wellorganized physical and electronic filing system for each job for easy reference
  • Coordinating and tracking the delivery of concrete cylinders for the MTO and regional projects to the designated labs based on the test age.
  • Research price, and purchase office/lab furniture, equipment, and supplies.

Requirements:


  • College Diploma in Civil/Construction, CET or equivalent (A combination of education and experience will be considered ).
  • Applied knowledge with MTO, OPSS, ASTM, and CSA methodology and procedures.
  • Capable to read and understanding construction plans, drawings, specifications technical procedures, and government regulations.
  • Knowledge of various civil and highway construction; Ability or recognize noncompliant conditions and initiate corrective measures.
  • Willingness to work overtime and some weekend work is necessary during the construction season.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Drive, Adobe.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask, in a busy office environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to be detailoriented and have effective problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with clients, contractors, and coworkers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with respect to deadlines and prioritizing tasks.
  • Ability to operate and set up standard office equipment, including but not limited to computers, telephone (systems), printers, and scanners.
  • Construction office experience preferred.
