About Ontario Securities Commission
The OSC is the statutory body responsible for regulating Ontario's capital markets in accordance with the mandate established in the provincial Securities Act and the Commodity Futures Act.
The mandate of the OSC is to provide protection to investors from unfair, improper, or fraudulent practices, to foster fair, efficient and competitive capital markets, and confidence in the capital markets, to foster capital formation, and to contribute to the stability of the financial system and the reduction of systemic risk.
This mandate is performed through policy, operational, adjudication and enforcement work. The OSC also contributes to national and global securities regulation development.The OSC offers a diverse, fair, and flexible work environment and take pride in challenging and rewarding work.

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Vice President, Strategic Planning, Reporting and Execution ("VP") is an inaugural leadership position responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of strategic and business plans, in alignment with the direction from the OSC Board and the Ontario Government.
This position will have the unique opportunity to develop and mentor a team within the Strategic Planning, Reporting and Execution function.
Serving as an influential change agent, the VP is critical in ensuring that the OSC incorporates strategic insights and considerations of operational efficiency into planning, managing, and reporting on the organization's efforts to deliver against its strategic plan and, broadly, its mandate.
The VP will oversee the development and implementation of agile and fit-for-purpose frameworks and methods for strategic and business planning, portfolio and project management, and stakeholder reporting.
Working with other senior leaders, the role will lead the organizational effort to establish short and long-term priorities across the portfolio of regulatory policy initiatives, data and technology projects, and other strategic initiatives.
Additionally, this role plays a key part in enabling the organization to swiftly adapt to shifting priorities or changes in external environment.
**Key Responsibilities- Working with the senior leadership and the Board,
lead the development and refinement of the multiyear strategic plan and priorities , ensuring alignment with stakeholder feedback, environmental trends, and Government priorities.
Oversee development of annual business plans and Statement of Priorities ensuring alignment with the strategic plan, Government direction and stakeholder feedback.
In collaboration with the Strategic Regulation team, develop innovative approaches to performance measurement in areas that are challenging to quantify.
Oversee accountability reporting to the Ministry of Finance with respect to business planning and reporting, in accordance with relevant governing documents and frameworks.
This framework will ensure appropriate and timely consideration of objectives, approaches, risks, stakeholder considerations and downstream impacts, as well as effective issue escalation methods.
Oversee the development and implementation of lean, fit-for-purpose project management framework tailored for data, technology, and other capital-intensive projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, effective risk reporting and remediation, and integrated financial controls.
