Marketing / Communications / PR Summary Stratcom is seeking a Marketing Manager to take the lead in supporting and developing Stratcom's marketing systems, strategies, and tools for the marketing efforts of Stratcom Canada and UK. The Marketing Manager will also assist with prospecting research, sales contact and support sales administration. Description

The Opportunity


The Marketing Manager position is responsible for ensuring that Stratcom's sales strategy and systems are implemented, updated, enhanced, and used to the fullest benefit.

The position supports sales efforts led by other staff, including but not limited to:

proposal writing, promotional material development, prospect research and contact, attending some sales meetings and presentations and maintaining the company's sales tracking system.

The position is also a key driver of improving all marketing materials, tools, and efforts, including but not limited to:

website updating, eBlasts, blogs, case studies, marketing calendar, maintaining and updating the company's social media presence and advertising, promotion material, attending conferences and staffing the Stratcom booth at events.

This position reports to and assists the Director of Mobile and Digital Solutions.

Responsibilities for this position are listed below.


Marketing (30%)

  • Lead and implement marketing plans and initiatives to support longterm growth and build
  • Stratcom's brand, reputation, and revenue
  • Lead the development and execution of marketing strategies for Stratcom Canada and UK campaigns by developing marketing content and deploying promotional activities
  • Consistent development, update and, as needed, manage contractor(s) to develop copy for new and existing marketing materials that include but are not limited to:
  • Website
  • Promotional materials (i.e., onepagers, leaflets)
  • E-Newsletter
  • Blogs
  • Case studies
  • Webinars
  • Partner with departments and relevant stakeholders to lead:
  • New product development and branding
  • Company branding
  • Sponsorships (of events and conferences)

Sales Administration (25%)

  • Support and manage sale tracking by entering and tracking projects in sales reports (Contact Manager and Pipedrive)
  • Oversee and manage best practices on Pipedrive CRM
  • Coach account client managers to enter, track and maintain their own sales leads into MS Access Schedule; training staff and consultants on use for sales tracking and reporting
  • Develop and manage regular reports to inform sales insights for future budgeting purposes
  • Develop and manage regular processes on reporting and tracking sales activities to goals of all departments' revenue budgets
  • Manage calendar of and attend sales meetings
  • Enhance and improve sales tracking systems as required. This may include onboarding new systems or software.
  • Assist with the development of proposals and quotes for new projects of existing and prospective clients
  • Develop and implement sales strategy and coordinate with assigned staff for delivery
  • Explore and identify sales opportunities

Prospecting Research and Contact (25%)

  • Conduct research to identify new client prospects or update outofdate information on former or lapsed clients
  • Manage prospect information in sales CRM systems
  • Contact clients who open or click enewsletters, attend webinars or any other promotional activities. Setup sales meeting with appropriate client manager

Management (10%)

  • Manager of ?direct report' employees' vacation requests, HR matters, performance review, workload
  • Coach, mentor, and direct employees as appropriate to motivate and improve performance
  • Manage contractor(s) and/or additional resources' workload, output (deliverables) and time.

Internal (10%)

  • Attend internal meetings including but not limited to sales meetings, marketing meetings
  • Complete time tracker weekly

Other Related Duties As Required

Skills, knowledge, and experience requirements include:

years in a marketing, sales, or similar position

  • Proven results in building and executing successful projects, campaigns etc.
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and experience
- managing the social media profile of a business or NGO

  • Experience with website development/management
  • Excellent computer skills including CRMs such as Pipedrive and MS Office (Microsoft Work, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Good written, social media and oral communications skills
  • Judgment, problemsolving skills and decisionmaking skills
  • Experience as a project team leader and/or managing staff and ability to work as part of
- a team
