What can you expect in this role?

  • Work with the team to support and maintain Tableau Server environments on Google Cloud Platform (Development, UAT and Production) as a Tableau Administrator
  • Work on initiatives to onboard Tableau client users to Tableau Server
  • Experience with connecting Tableau to a variety of data sources (ie. DB2, Oracle, Google Cloud, etc) would be an asset
  • Support and maintain a stable and scalable Tableau technology portfolio in relation to data and reporting services aligned with Enterprise Data Office (EDO) goals and enterprise and IT standards.
  • Accountable for the overall quality of the Tableau technical solutions, working collaboratively with stakeholders across business and Tableau support technology teams seeking opportunities to improve quality of data and reporting services and demonstrate commitment to operational excellence for all deliverables.
  • Coordinates daytoday team efforts and priorities and ensures alignment with management direction and decisions in relation to Tableau.
  • Works with the team on continuous improvement efforts focused on process, standards and tools within the data and reporting function.
  • Technical Specialists are part of a professional field that generally require formal education, certification and/or relevant experience in the technical area of specialty.

What do you bring to the role?

  • Knowledge of Data Governance system environments
  • Specific Tableau administration knowledge would be an asset.
  • Good understanding of SQL functionality within multiple databases: DB2, Oracle, Hive/Impala, Google Cloud, etc...
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, Kerberos, Policy administration, rolebased access security management as they relate to Collibra.
  • Understanding of Hadoop Stack including HDFS, Hive, HBase, Impala.
  • Demonstrated experience in system performance management techniques and performancerelated system level tuning as related to Tableau administration.
  • Knowledge of DevOps, Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD) pipeline and tools like Jenkins, GIT.
  • Fundamental knowledge of GCP infrastructure
