    Description

    As a Controls & Robotics Specialist with Brave you will be responsible for delivering quality custom automation solutions to our clients in various industries.

    You will work with other engineers and technologists on a variety of assigned projects where you could be working with PLC's, robots, motion controllers, vision systems, SCADA and HMI packages manufacturing intelligence software, and much more.

    You will be an integral part of the technical delivery team and support Brave's sales initiatives.

    The day-to-day duties will vary from project to project, but responsibilities look something like this:

  • Support sales as required including when assigned, assisting in the gathering, and analyzing of technical data or requirements
  • Produce assigned project documents under direction and guidance of Directors of Engineering and Project Engineers
  • When assigned, assist in producing solution concepts, detailed quotes, and R&D
  • Develop robot programs from scratch
  • Configuring integrated safety control
  • Develop and deploy HMI and PLC applications
  • Testing and simulation of programs
  • Proactively maintain your knowledge of the current technical delivery status
  • Provide technical status updates when required via status meetings
  • Commissioning and debugging
  • Supporting the physical install and build of equipment and systems
  • Proactively seek to achieve agreed-upon project and divisional business goals
  • MUST HAVE

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Automation or related discipline
  • 0-5 years experience in robotics or PLC programming
  • Knowledge of ABB Robots, Siemens PLCs & Rockwell PLCs
  • Able to configure robots from basic software installation
  • Able to program online and offline
  • Legally eligible to work in both Canada and the United States
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel
