Description
This role is responsible for being on site when there is a damage from flood, fire, or smoke.

As an Emergency Services Labourer you an integral part of clearing out the client's damaged belongings and completing demolition of non-restorable materials.

Working directly with your team, you will gain experience with water extraction equipment and assisting trades people such as carpenters, drywall finishers and painters No experience needed; we will train

Wages between $19-$25/hour, depending on experience.


What you'll be doing as an Emergency Services Labourer

  • Assist with the removal and installation of subfloors, baseboards, casings, cabinets, closets and doors
  • Assist with the removal and installation of knobs, handles, hinges and other fixtures
  • Assist with removal and installation of drywall (measuring, cutting, securing)
  • Assist with water remediation, painting and carpentry duties as required
  • Load and unload construction materials to work areas
  • Clean work site area, sorts and dispose of affected materials
  • Packing damaged contents, cleaning structures, and tidying job site

You have

  • The physical ability to bend, reach, lift 50lbs safely and repeatedly and stand throughout your shift
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • The ability to wear PPE (this may include gloves, respirators, goggles, hard hats and Tyvek suits)
  • Flexible availability. We are a 24/7 emergency services company, and all positions will have a component of oncall work on a rotational basis, in addition to your regular hours.
  • Eagerness to learn.
  • A valid driver's license
  • A satisfactory criminal record is required

Where
Hiring in Squamish/Whistler with travel throughout the lower mainland and BC region. Job sites are mostly indoors.


When
Typical hours are 7:30am-4:00pm. Rotating on-call schedule to attend after hour emergencies, which means good overtime hours and pay for our team.
