Risk Analyst is responsible for providing support to the Section Manager through information accumulation, analysis and problem-solving for project controls work. This includes, project schedule, risk and cost management. This position is within OPG's Enterprise Project Organization and is an incredible opportunity to gain exposure to projects across different lines of business including Renewable Generation, Nuclear Refurbishment, IT Projects, New Nuclear and more

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Support the implementation, testing and rollout of new EcoSys functionality.
  • Support the administration of highly utilized Project Management Information Systems, including EcoSys and Primavera P
  • Analyze specified areas of cost and schedule performance.
  • Lead Key Initiatives to provide continuous improvement to EPO Project Management knowledge areas within process, tools, and systems.
  • Establish cost and schedule baselines and project monitoring and controlling, including Earned Value Management analysis, integrated Change control and Forecasting.
  • As assigned, develop Divisionspecific procedures, instructions, guidelines that facilitate the twoway flow of cost and schedule information.
  • Provide input and direction to the Section Manager, with respect to the preparation and execution of deliverables.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and actively engage stakeholders in risk identification sessions to identify potential risks in project plans and objectives
  • Work closely with project teams to enforce adherence to risk management processes and ensure effective risk mitigation measures are implemented
  • Assist in project risk analysis, provide valuable feedback, and make recommendations for improvement and enhancement of risks, issues, and actions
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with risk policies, conduct investigations into emerging issues, and report findings
  • Solicit feedback from project teams to facilitate risk modeling for allocation of cost and schedule contingency resources.

EDUCATION

  • 4year university degree, Engineering, Science or Business
  • Risk Management Professional (RMP) Certification is required.
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) or Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) certification is considered an asset.

QUALIFICATIONS
years of experience collaborating within a work group and performing all aspects of project monitoring and controlling.

  • Knowledge of Risk fundamentals and Project Management required.
  • Must have experience in cost control understanding of earned value including CPI (cost performance indicator) and SPI (Scheduled Performance Indicator),
  • Power BI experience would be a strong asset.
  • Experience with EcoSys as a cost management solution.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary and multiphase long term projects/programs.
  • Knowledge and solid understanding of the interrelationships and role of organizational units, interrelationships between work groups, external contractors and consultants involved, and the mechanics of resolving any controversial issues.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate well, both verbally and written, is essential.
  • Ability to present information clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a flexible hybrid office environment.
