About CCRM:


Role Summary:


As the Supply Chain Technician at CCRM, you will be involved in the operations of the Centre for Cell and Vector Production (CCVP) facility.

You will be responsible for managing and developing all aspects of materials flow, and maintaining control and accuracy of inventories and supplies, including all transactions, purchase requisitions, planning and costing, to ensure the required materials are purchased and available to support the production of customer orders.

You will also be responsible for working with CCRM's Procurement team to develop and manage supplier relationships.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage, validate and develop, when needed, to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) a systematic process, including both paperbased and electronic solutions, to support biotechnologybased material, consumable and reagent supply and inventory forecasting.
  • Manage and track individual shipments and supplier performance to ensure client timelines are met.
  • Receive and store materials in the CCVP facility and external storage areas, including the warehouse in Hamilton.
  • Manage onsite facility inventory of materials needed for general facility operation.
  • Identify, develop and manage relationships with existing and potential suppliers to meet CCRM's goals and delivery targets, and to identify costsaving opportunities.
  • Coordinate customer shipments, ensuring all requirements are met (tracking, temperature and delivery time).
  • Manage and track supplier performance to drive claims and recovery of suppliercaused issues and subsequent process improvements.
  • Manage and validate to GMP a clear biologic channel strategy, together with external and internal stakeholders, to define endtoend supply chain operation development. Also, collaborate with the business development, procurement and manufacturing teams at CCRM to ensure that sensitive biotechnologybased raw, inprocess and finished products are treated with the necessary care to maintain viability, biologic function, etc., within specified limits. This includes, but is not limited to, sensitivities to temperature variation as well as excessive transportrelated "shock" pre
- and post-manufacturing.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve lead time and cost reductions, and drive process improvements.
  • Advise the Supply Chain Manager of any issues that may impact service to customers.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures and terms of legal matters that affect purchasing policies.
  • Support supply chain reporting and analysis, including sales and operations planning, key performance indicators, and any other ad hoc requests.
  • Comply with all GMP policies.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree/diploma in a life sciences, supply chain/logistics, or a related discipline.
  • 12 years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing, purchasing or logistics.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • Warehouse experience beneficial
  • Flexibility to work in Toronto or Hamilton
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks to completion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills.

Desired Characteristics:


  • Knowledge of any of the following is an advantage: inventory metrics or material requirements planning, storage and transportation of hazardous or infectious materials.
  • Experience working for a contract manufacturing organization.
  • Experience in a GMP manufacturing environment.
  • Leads by example by proactively identifying problems and areas for improvement.
  • Driven to understand, meet and exceed customers' expectations and requirements.
  • Takes a collaborative approach to working with crossfunctional teams, with good multicultural awareness.
