DUTIES

The Thompson Rivers University School of Nursing has sessional faculty positions available in practice courses of the Health Care Assistant (HCA) program. Various dates May through July, 2024. Courses are:

HEAL Introduction to Healing 3: Personal Care and Assistance (4 sections)
HEAL Practice Experience in Multi-level/Complex Care

The successful candidate(s) will teach practice courses within the HCA program and will organize activities related to HCA including but not limited to attending meetings, clinical agency liaison, development of student clinical assignments and conducting evaluations.

• Masters required - Masters in progress may be considered;
• Undergraduate degree must be in nursing;
• RN, LPN, BScN, and RPN applicants with applicable experience are encouraged to apply. The non-qualified language would apply if successful;
• Practicing licence/membership with BCCNM required;
• Teaching experience at the program level preferred; and/or
• Minimum 2 years' experience in Long Term Care, in a nurse/client relationship.
