    Avionics Engineer (SQA)

    Job Description:

    • Possess, as a minimum, a bachelor's degree in engineering with a specialization in Software & Hardware, or a degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science for Software & Hardware aspects and a specialization in Electronics for AEH aspects.
    • Possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in the development or verification of Realtime airborne embedded software applications in a variety of aircraft systems (using RTCA/DO178 or equivalent standard). They may also have experience in the certification, development or testing of airborne electronic hardware (AEH) according to structured development processes (RTCA/DO254 or equivalent standard). Note; Assignments will take into account demonstrated expertise in either Software or AEH.
    • For both Software and AEH aspects, be familiar with industryrecognized Software/Firmware Engineering practices, objectoriented design, and system safety analysis.
    • Have working experience with certification authorities and be recognized by the certification authorities as an accredited DAD / DER, able to make findings of compliance for both Software and AEH aspects
    • Have experience of software or firmware requirement and design analysis, of writing and of acting as a peer reviewer of life cycle plans, requirements, designs, code, test cases and procedures. The Resources should be able to read and critic highorder software coding languages (procedural & objectoriented) or HDL code, as part of the design review activities.
    • Have working experience in software & hardware quality assurance and software & hardware configuration management, or experience with airworthiness authorities' liaison.
    • Have very good oral and writing skills in English.
    • Be able to work on various projects simultaneously and have project organization skills. The Resources must also have initiative, strong sense of responsibility and good engineering judgment.
    • Be available to travel occasionally at client suppliers' sites for dedicated process audits
