***: The Multimedia Coordinator works with internal and external stakeholders to lead the production of IHSA video and podcasts. This role coordinates video and podcast production from start to finish working closely with vendors, and as directed, executes video and podcast production directly, including recording and editing, seeking necessary approvals and working with others to make the final product available to IHSA customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Works with internal stakeholders to establish a video marketing strategy in alignment with IHSA's strategic plan and objectives.
  • In alignment with IHSA's video production process, collaborates with stakeholders, coordinates and/or produces engaging marketing and educational video by working with vendors, where required, or by directly executing video production projects for social media, training programs, or other marketing/promotional materials.
  • Coordinates with vendors to develop video briefs, scripts and storyboards for approval by stakeholders.
  • Coordinates with vendors to schedule and obtain permission for video shoots, reviews footage, and directs vendor on edits to address audio adjustments, colour correction, photographs, final editing and other postproduction activities. Where directed, leads these activities on their own.
  • Coordinates with Marketing and Communications and other departments to have final video distributed through social media, training courses, etc.
  • Operates drone and related equipment to capture video and images. This includes, but is not limited to coordinating and executing flight operations in accordance with requirements set out by Transport Canada, and ensures NAV Canada or other authorities approve flights as necessary.
  • Coordinates and schedules topics for new podcast episodes by collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Provides guidance to internal stakeholders on approaches for video production.
  • Guides vendors on the needs established by IHSA for video and podcast.
  • Archives video and podcast assets using cloudbased networking storage services.
  • Ensure content is appropriate, accurate and requirements for video shoot are secured.
  • Convey desired outcomes for video and podcast to vendor.
  • Conceptualize video and podcast needs as well as assess and support production for training courses.
  • Edit copy for video and podcasts, source graphics and prepare for posting on social media or other platforms.
  • Schedule recording and organize postproduction requirements and secure permission to fly drone.
  • Seek approvals and scheduling preproduction, production and postproduction.
  • Report analytics to various internal stakeholders and participate in procurement of vendors, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Postsecondary education completion in video/film production or related field required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in video/film production and editing required.
  • Experience and proficiency in Graphic Design, Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects required.
  • Experience with using video equipment, lighting, drone and ability to create multiple formats of video required.
  • Proficiency with software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and cloudbased storage programs e.g. Box required.
  • Drone (Unmanned Aerial System) (RPA) Pilot Certificate
  • Advanced Operations and experience in producing podcasts would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of the Infrastructure Health and Safety industry and network.
  • 75% minimum interview score required for consideration.
