Job Description

Work in conjunction with the different departments and branches within Brogan Fire & Safety. Support them by procuring the goods they need to satisfy our customer's needs, in a safe and efficient manner.

Reports to:
Management Team, Warehouse Manager, Branch Manager


Duties:


  • Using computers for daytoday tasks
  • Picking, packaging, and shipping of customer orders and interbranch replenishments and orders.
  • Receiving freight from vendors
  • Confirm vendor shipments are correct
  • Organize warehouse stock.
  • Contacting freight companies to arrange pickups.
  • Filling out shipping documents and TDG paperwork.
  • Keeping accurate shipping/receiving and transfer logs.
  • Forklift inspections & operations
  • Helping customers with tracking inquiries as to where their shipments are
  • Signing in customer equipment
  • Spot checking inventory
  • General housekeeping of their work area and the warehouse.
  • Act as a liaison between branches for transfers (and investigate discrepancies).
Work Conditions- Typically, hours will be Monday-Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm, 40 hours per week.

Occasionally when warranted, extra hours will be required.- Personal protective equipment is required including steel toe footwear, gloves, and safety glasses (when needed).

Brogan Fire & Safety will provide gloves and glasses.


Requirements:


  • Accuracy and detail orientated.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient with computers and computer software
This is an entry-level position with the possibility of advancement.
