Description

The Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board operates 35 elementary schools and 8 secondary schools as well as an adult education program that provide quality Catholic education to approximately 20, 200 students. The Board employees 1200 full time equivalent elementary and secondary teachers, as well as 870 support staff

The WECDSB is currently recruiting for the position of: HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR
Working with the Human Resources team, this position supports a variety of essential Human Resources functions.


DUTIES INCLUDE:


  • Coordinate and participate in the recruitment, orientation, and staffing process;
  • Coordinate, implement and evaluate proactive and cost effective workplace safety, disability management, and attendance support programs;
  • Responsible for all aspects of Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) claims and accident investigations;
  • Facilitate return to work programs for employees with disabilities through collaboration with the worker, unions, managers and relevant health care professionals, to provide modified work accommodations for occupational and nonoccupational disability claims;
  • Implement and monitor performance appraisal process;
  • Provide input and support for contract negotiations;
  • Coordinate staff training and professional development;
  • Prepare monthly variance reports and forecasts of Board's operating budget to the actual variances, including staffing, enrollment, revenues, and expenses;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • University Degree/Post Secondary diploma in Human Resources or related field;
  • Human Resources designation is an asset;
  • Minimum two (2) years experience in a Human Resources setting;
  • Specialized training in WSIB claims management, disability management, dispute resolution, or equivalent in actual related experience;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, would be an asset
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, Power Point;
  • Experience with G-Suite (Google Applications) would be an assets;
  • Selfmotivated, selfdirected with strong initiative and the ability to work independently as well as an effective team member;
  • Strong professional and organizational skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality;
  • Ability and willingness to take an active role in the development and organizational components of special projects;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with employees, management, unions/associations, third party insurance carriers and medical professionals on sensitive and confidential issues;
  • Willing to work flexible hours and able to work within deadlines.
  • Bilingual (fluency in both English & French) would be an asset

Salary:
$70,465.00-$76,177.00 per year
